1. Service Scope

Capital Drone Services provides professional aerial drone services including photography, videography, basic inspections, event coverage, and construction progress documentation. All operations are conducted in compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and are subject to weather conditions, airspace classifications, and site access.

2. Pricing

All services are priced according to our current Pricing Guide or a formal written quote provided to the client.
Capital Drone Services reserves the right to update its pricing at any time. Pricing changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.

3. Bookings, Deposits & Payment Terms

  • Orders under $500:

    • A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking

    • The remaining balance is due within 7 days after the shoot

  • Orders $500 and over:

    • A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking

    • The remaining balance is due within 7 days after the shoot

  • Late Payments:
    A 10% late fee will be applied to any overdue invoice not paid within 7 days of the due date.

4. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled shoot will receive a full refund of the deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled shoot will result in the deposit being forfeited.

5. Weather & Airspace Conditions

  • All flights are subject to weather conditions and airspace restrictions.

  • Flights within controlled or restricted airspace may require CASA approval, which can take several business days.

  • If weather or regulatory constraints prevent operations, the shoot may be postponed or cancelled by Capital Drone Services in consultation with the client.

6. Client & Operator Responsibilities

Capital Drone Services is responsible for:

  • Ensuring all drone operations are safe and comply with CASA regulations

  • Securing necessary airspace approvals and flight authorisations

  • Applying for drone-related permits for operations in public spaces (e.g. council-managed parks or roads), where required

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate site details and access information in advance

  • Informing Capital Drone Services of any known local restrictions, hazards, or special considerations

  • Securing permission to access or film on private property not owned by the client

  • Supplying relevant permits if they already hold site or event permissions (e.g. council or venue approvals)

Capital Drone Services may assist in identifying and coordinating any necessary local approvals but will assume responsibility for permit applications unless agreed otherwise in writing.

7. Copyright & Usage

  • Capital Drone Services retains full copyright ownership of all aerial content unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Clients are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the final delivered content for the agreed purpose(s).

  • Capital Drone Services may use content for promotional purposes (e.g. website, portfolio, social media), unless the client opts out in writing prior to delivery.

8. Liability

Capital Drone Services is not liable for:

  • Delays or cancellations caused by adverse weather or regulatory constraints

  • Access issues or incomplete site information provided by the client

  • Indirect or consequential losses resulting from delays or non-performance

Liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the affected service.
